Use these barbed fittings in low-pressure steam heating, humidification, and washdown applications up to 150 psi. Slide the barbed end into plastic or rubber hose and secure with a clamp. Also known as hose nipples, they adapt a barbed end to a threaded end.
Zinc-plated steel fittings have fair corrosion resistance and are stronger and more durable than other metal fittings. Aluminum fittings are lighter in weight than other metal fittings and have good corrosion resistance. 303/304 stainless steel fittings have very good corrosion resistance. 316 stainless steel fittings have excellent corrosion resistance, so they’re the best choice for high-humidity environments.
