The HEATEX® Silica Thread (HS05) is an ultra-high temperature sewing thread designed for extreme heat environments. Made from silica fibres with a SiO₂ content of at least 96 %, this white thread offers exceptional thermal stability with a service temperature up to 900 °C. With a twist count of 200 twist/m, a tex of 570 g/km, and a spool weight of 500 g, it’s ideal for applications such as welding blankets, furnace insulation covers, high-temperature expansion joints and protective apparel where standard threads would degrade.
