Tyvek® 500 garments are composed of flash spun high density polyethylene which creates a unique, nonwoven material available only from DuPont. Providing an ideal balance of protection, durability and comfort, Tyvek® 500 coveralls are designed to offer the performance of Type 5/6 garments, which have been tested to standards against light liquid aerosols and airborne solid particles.
These coveralls provide an effective barrier against particles (down to 1.0 micron in size). Tyvek® 500 coveralls—model TY198S—are suitable for applications such as pharmaceutical handling, chemical processing, automatic spray painting, maintenance and many others. Tyvek® 500 HP coveralls—model TY178S—are specifically designed for workers operating with a full-body harness in environments where hazardous particle or light liquid aerosol hazards* are present.
Designed to be worn over a full-body harness, the innovative, patent-pending garment design allows workers to access and utilize multiple D-Rings on their full-body harness. This garment is compatible with a variety of full-body harness models making it suitable for a wide range of applications including painting, cleaning, maintenance, and more.
